and the beat keeps runnin' runnin' and...

Not dead, haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Thank you for the supportive comments and e-mails - I assure you I've read them - several times - and that they are received by grateful eyes.

The quick and dirty is ... I've submitted two articles since I last posted - one was a revision that had already been accepted for publication (which will probably require yet one more revision, it's just the way it goes) and one was an initial submission. I have my 3rd and last for this season in preparation for submission by Oct. 7th. Things are looking good!

Running - what a blessing it has been to have legs and lungs that still work the way they are supposed to. I work with people every day who either by trauma or disease no longer can run, walk, speak, etc. and when I was running this morning, I couldn't help but feel like I was running, simply because I could.

As you might have gathered, my running recently couldn't really be described as training - they have been more like running 'bursts' - I find 15 minutes at some point in my overly scheduled day - slide on my running shoes and hit the road. I go out for these little 1,2, and 3 mile 'bursts' - not long runs - (hmm, I wonder if they would more accurately be described as running 'burps') but they have done wonders for both my body, keeps me feeling loose and strong, and my mind, keeps the anxiety pangs at bay.

Congrats to all of you on your recent running achievements - I keep somewhat up to date, reading your blogs once or twice a week. You know, typically, I'll read one of Jon's posts or one of Lara's posts, get juiced and take off for 20 minutes or so. It's been great - thanks for the inspiration and support guys. Have fun out there!
